Freiwilliger Ardeitsdienst (FAD) badge. The FAD was the volunteer labor service in the early 1930s until it was changed into the Nazi Reichs Arbeitsdienst national labor service. This is a very nice enameled bronze badge with the enamel in great shape. It is marked on the back with the logo of the Assmann company and GES. GESCH. (“Gesetzlich Geschützt” – legally protected design). Scarce badge, especially in this shape. Condition I-
