Civil War soldier wears a frock coat, belt with rectangular plate, and holds a Model 1850 Foot Officer’s Sword. This should be a junior officer, but the coat appears to be an enlisted frock coat, with fasteners for scales at the shoulders. Perhaps this is a new Lieutenant who just got promoted? The image is clear, and the leatherette case is in outstanding condition, complete with brass mat and preserver. The uniform buttons, fasteners for shoulder scales, belt plate, and sword hilt are all gilded. Condition I-
