More info

Civil War era paper framed ninth plate tintype of two men. The man on the right wears a late-war New York State Militia uniform with trimmed kepi, while the civilian on the left has had his face scratched out. Comrades who weren’t friends anymore? Or memento of a man who had passed away? Other than the face scratch the tintype is clear and in good shape. It is glued onto the back of a paper frame that has an embossed marking POTTERS PATENT MARCH 7 1865. Condition II
