Civilian pocket knife c. 1870. 2 inch blade marked WADE BROs CELEBRATED CUTLERY; the trade mark of German company Theil & Quack that exported knives to the USA starting in 1866. Checkered bone side scaled attached with brass pins. One scale has a crack in it. The blade opens well and the spring keeps it open well. Blade is dull. Condition II
