US-123 Ambrotype image of a little girl. The ambrotype was a photographic process developed in the late 1850s and popular during the Civil War. It is a negative image on a thin plate of glass, that shows positive by placing black paper, cloth or paint behind it. This is a ninth plate sized image (2 ˝” x 2”). This is a nice image of a seated little girl holding her purse, surrounded by the brass frame pieces. This image does not have a protective case.

US-122 Ambrotype image of a little boy. The ambrotype was a photographic process developed in the late 1850s and popular during the Civil War. It is a negative image on a thin plate of glass, that shows positive by placing black paper, cloth or paint behind it. This is a ninth plate sized image (2 ˝” x 2”). The image shows a boy leaning against a prop. He’s wearing a large belt buckle that appears to have a numeral 8 on it. The image has darkened over time. Nice brass frame pieces; no damage to the glass. This image does not have a protective case.

US-120 ON SALE FOR $28    Soviet naval enlisted buckle and belt. (Not US, but this section is also for other countries’ militaria.) Brass buckle with star, hammer and sickle, and anchor. Probably from the 1960s-70s. This type of buckle was worn by sailors and naval infantry.
